One of Kirk's major works in progress is a concerto for one piano / four hands and orchestra, entitled "Fives." Each of the five movements are five minutes in duration and are rhythmically based in quintuple meter. The fourth movement, "Rubik," was scored for orchestra without the pianists. (Below) Students at Cypress Lake Center for the Arts High School, under the direction of fellow U.F.O. member David Eccles, prepare for the world premier in Fort Myers, Florida and subsequent performance in Reno, Nevada.
