Kirk Whipple & Marilyn Morales, Duo Pianists / Composers

2005 Year in Photos ~ July ~ Arkansas to New England

< < < In a remote corner of Arkansas, about three hours in any direction from (our) cell phone reception you will find the lovely town of Yellville, Arkansas. This photo was taken by our pal, Composer Mickie Willis. He told us that, if we posted his picture, an officer from the Witness Protection Program would have to shoot us.

(Below L) Marilyn & Kirk spend the 4th of July with friends Cindy & Richard Furman at their home in beautiful Pegram, Tennessee, just up the road from Nashville. Cindy's daughter Hannah is looking up at Kirk, wondering when more potato chips are coming! (Below R) Jacob Furman buries his face in the pie eating contest.

(Below L) James Furman practices his Jack Nicholson face and can't quite get there.

(Below R) Now he is ready for his walk-on part in "The Shining Part 2!"

(Below L) Marilyn & Kirk have a wonderful lunch

at the Glen Willis Tea Room in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Kirk & Marilyn gave a performance the night before at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. This is the famous resort still run by Trapp family members of "Sound of Music" fame. (Below L) Marilyn & Kirk in front of the family's private cemetary. (Below R) The grave site of Baron and Maria von Trapp.

(Above & below) Even if you are not a "Sound of Music" junkie, the grounds are a beautiful place for a long hike. They tell us that it is a great place to ski in the winter. As confirmed non-skiers, we'll have to take their word for that! (Above R) The mischievous Trappmunk plots his next move!
